Pancakes....of course!

People who know me well know that I am a total sweet freak. I love sugar and sugar and more sugar. How do you spell it? S-U-G-A-R! When I found out that a breakfast place was hiring I was more than ecstatic about working there. If someone told me I could eat breakfast all day I would. I have been thinking about why its called "brunch", for those people who cant quite seem to get themselves out of bed before the early morning breakfast deals. Well what do you call those times when its late at night and you aren't quite ready to make dinner nor have the energy for it but plop some 'Eggos' in the toaster?

'De Dutch' makes the style of pancakes that I like. Until I learned about The Big Flat Pancake Co. And no, I am not being biased simply because I work there. I am going to be a bit of a critic however I have no intention of bashing one restaurant or the other. The pancakes at BFPC are light, sweet but not too sweet, and hit the spot just right. I really enjoy all of the different ways you can create things with a simple plain pancake. Better yet just eat it by its self. Comparing to De Dutch, who I go to once and awhile to remind myself how good out pancakes are. I don't like that the pancakes taste bland with no flavour. I can see how this could be a pro for some people. I see how our pancakes are made at BFPC however I am unable to give away the recipe. What I can say is that we do not add any sugar to the mix and do have a gluten free option that is the best gluten free product you will ever taste. The owner, Angelina, makes the pancakes herself from scratch.

This is all I have to say for now and will say more on future posts when I try new things. Jesse, our main cook, loves to make fancy meals for me and new things to try.
